Based on 4,000 years of practice that traditionally guided emperors, generals and merchants in East Asia.

You enter your birth date, time and place once. From that single moment the app computes your Four Pillars chart, your Kua number with eight personal directions (best for prosperity, health, love, career, plus four to avoid), and aligns the daily and monthly Flying Stars to your personal energy. Every morning you receive three mantras, a daily reading, and — if you choose — a brief WhatsApp ritual.

Why Chinese metaphysics

Chinese metaphysics is the world's oldest continuously-practised decision-support system. It is mathematical, not mystical: every chart is derived deterministically from a birth moment and a calendar. Bazi has guided life decisions in East Asia for over two millennia. Qi Men Dun Jia was the system Zhuge Liang and other classical strategists used to choose the timing and direction of military campaigns. Until now, accessing this knowledge required either years of study or paying €100–€500 per private consultation. Sanctuary computes the same charts automatically and explains them in plain English.

Glossary of terms used in the app

• Bazi (八字, Four Pillars of Destiny) — Natal chart based on the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of year, month, day, hour of birth.
• Kua number — A digit from 1 to 9, derived from birth year and gender, that maps you to one of the eight trigrams and to four favourable plus four unfavourable directions.
• Flying Stars (玄空飛星) — A Feng Shui method tracking how nine stars (energies) move through space and time. The map changes every year, month and day.
• Qi Men Dun Jia (奇門遁甲) — A divination and strategic-timing system; reads the configuration of stars, gates and deities at a precise moment.
• Five Elements (五行) — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. The fundamental ontology of Chinese metaphysics.
• Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches — The 10 + 12 cycle that combines into the 60-year sexagenary calendar underlying Bazi.
